| Our
History
During high school, brothers Chris and Wayne Nelson set a goal
to open a top quality pizzeria. It would be a pizzeria
that customers would choose to visit again and again.
Taste, they decided, would be a driving success factor.
Night after night, the brothers experimented in their mother's
kitchen to develop unique recipes for taste that would bring
customers back. In 1988 they celebrated the opening of
their Boyne City store, and the telephones haven't stopped
ringing since. Over the next 15 years, BC Pizza expanded
to 26 operating restaurants with more on the horizon.
BC
Pizza's reputation as the pizza of choice was built by using
only the freshest, top quality ingredients, and the brother's
secret recipes for homemade sauce and crust. Customers
were also impressed by the one-on-one friendly service, and
the community support they exhibited in the local Boyne area.
Soon, BC Pizza became the "Best Choice Pizza" for many other
communities, including Gaylord, St. Ignace, Petoskey, and Elk
Rapids. The Nelson's commitment to providing the best
quality products, the best service, and the best pizzeria
value available has never wavered. Nor has their
philosophy of community support. BC Pizza donates
talent, pizza, and other support to local causes, and pairs up
with other area businesses to offer specials. Their
belief is that what you give to a community makes a big
difference in what return you can expect, and they encourage
that behavior in others.
