Back To Business

It’s been a while since my last update…I believe the last time I wrote we were home for the holidays. Well since then it’s been a downward spiral that didn’t start getting better until just recently. First of all we left Michigan Christmas day…which was kind of hectic seeing as we always went to my Grandparents house for Christmas. We still made it there but we were definitely pressed on time. The reason we had to get down to Georgia in a hurry was that the first round of the Winter Am Series in Florida was starting in 3 days. Warren hadn’t been on the bike in almost a month so he had to get some practice in before heading out to race. Once down at GPF Warren went straight to getting familiar with his bike again. We also had to rent an RV since ours was in Alabama getting fixed…and the rental was nothing like we were used to. So the day after we got back to GPF it was off to a track down in Gainesville, Florida called Gatorback. We were just there last November for Mini O’s so Warren was excited to see how much faster he’d gotten from the last race. He had definitely gotten faster but during practice on Friday he took a pretty nasty crash and broke his Tibia. Now this was a huge bummer for the whole family because we were all looking forward to seeing Warren do well in the series. But there was nothing to do but sit back and watch him heal for the next 8 weeks. The day Warren got hurt was December 28, 2007...today it is March 7, 2008 and he just got back on his bike 3 days ago. We won’t be making it to Lake Whitney but Warren will be back and stronger then ever for Loretta Lynn’s Qualifiers for sure! He’s working his way back up to speed as quickly and safely as he possibly can so expect to see him back and ready to do some serious racing in 2008!
